Using The All American Sun Oven On A Boat

We are on a Catamaran and nearly all of our entire boat runs off of the solar panels, except for the water maker that runs off of a generator, the oven and stove are run off of propane gas. We were almost out of propane and we were in Hilton Head, South Carolina and looking for a retailer to refill our propane tanks. I must have called ten businesses and I was only able to find one. We started questioning what if we run out of propane while traveling. I looked into a crock pots to run off of the solar panels but heating the unit for four to eight hours may drain the solar panels also the Insta Pot would probably consume too much energy. So I started doing more research and found The All American Sun Oven. This was perfect! I could cook everyday that the sun was out and save our propane for when we really need it. I watched the videos and read reviews and we decided to buy it. I am now completely addicted to using the Sun Oven! It's so easy to use and the food comes out great. I'm learning new recipes and every day is an experiment in cooking and baking.

The Sun Oven uses the free power of the sun to cook or bake. We got ours in the case of an emergency that no propane gas could be found but we realized how much energy we are saving and it is completely safe for our environment and our world. I love this because we see so much beauty around us each day from manatees to dolphins and sea turtles and I am so in love with our planet more than ever and feel so good that we live off of solar power. This feels amazing!

We bought The All American Sun Ovenfor $350 and it came with 3 Granite Ware Pots with lids and the baking or dehydration racks. The unit has mirror-like anodized aluminum reflectors and it's lightweight and sets up quickly. We set it on the Catamaran trampoline or a flat surface on the boat. They both work great. We've constantly moving around when we're at anchor so the sunlight is not completely controllable but we find that all of our cooking and baking has come out great. There are indicators to the direction that the Sun Oven sold be too get the best light. I'm telling you it's so easy.

If you've cooked on a boat at anchor, you know that it get super hot in the galley. This is perfect because I wake up in the morning, get ready for the day then I put whatever I;m going to cook for lunch in the Sun Oven. This is usually around 9:00 AM and by 11:30 AM lunch is ready. When I bring lunch in to cool off I place the desert, eggs to make boiled eggs or fruit to dehydrate in the Sun Oven. It's that quick and simple.
