Hello, Jacqui here! Thanks for visiting!
I've been going through some serious healing lately and I'm ready to share my journey with you.
I was diagnosed with Stage 4 Appendix Cancer in August and had surgery on September 6th to remove my appendix, hysterectomy, a 13 cm ovarian cyst, and two resections in the colon. I chose to do a holistic cancer treatment and have been following Gerson Protocol since September 13th, when I was released from the hospital.
Here's my history with Gerson and why I chose this therapy. My best friend was diagnosed with breast cancer years ago, and she wanted to try an alternative to chemo and that's when we found out about the Gerson Institute. I told her I would help her pay for it, and even be her companion to support her through her journey. However, her Drs. scared her into chemotherapy so she decided against Gerson. Three years of intense pain, experimental chemotherapy, and unending radiation was the last years of her life. I drove five hours each month to be with her during her treatments and she asked me to never do this if I got sick. She said she would never do this ever again and wished she hadn't. So when received my diagnosis, I knew without a doubt that I wanted to start my healing with Gerson. My Drs. did the same scare tactics with me, and gave me a bad prognosis, but I thought of my sweet, courageous, friend and choose a long life with the Gerson Protocol. I started the protocol on September 13th, when I could eat on my own again, and arrived at the clinic 6 weeks after surgery, as soon as I was medically released.
Here's more about my journey to finding out that I had cancer. That was a crazy two months.
We were at Gerson, in Tijuana, Mexico for two weeks and I feel amazing! Lots of Vitamin C, B17, Juicing, lots and lots of healthy vegan foods, and daily visits from the Dr and nurses. This has been a wonderful experience! The clinic is three blocks from the beach so we've enjoyed walking around and enjoying the sights. Mike was so impressed with the process that he signed up to do it with me. I'm so excited! We are seriously going to be the power couple now!
I love that they also had therapy for me and Mike separately, meditation, cooking classes, juicing classes, supplement classes, foot detox, and red light therapy sauna. There has been so much here for me to succeed!
The Gerson Institute can cost from $12,000 to more than $17,000 and unfortunately, it's not covered by insurance. I still don't understand why there is no "known" cure for cancer after one hundred years of research, however Dr Max Gerson has been healing people from cancer holistically for over 70 years. It is illegal to practice holistic cancer treatment in the US, hence why I had to come to Mexico.
The Gerson protocol must be followed for a minimum of 2 years. The Gerson Therapy was invented by Dr. Max B. Gerson in the early 1900s as a nutrition-based treatment system for chronic diseases, such as cancer. Big pharma will not run test or randomized controlled trials, and thus is illegal to market Gerson Protocol in the United States. I have read many documents about Gerson and the massive success rate and chose the holistic approach rather than chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
The Gerson Institute in Tijuana is a cute holistic retreat near the beach. As soon as we arrived and checked in, I had blood work done. They did another round of blood work and a ultrasound. I also had high dosage Vitamin C and B17 IV every day, which targets the cancer to kill the abnormal cells and boosts the immune system
We had three full meals a day. Breakfast was carrot juice, rye bread, apple butter spread, oatmeal, fruit, and Pau d'Arco tea. Yummmmm! Mike has the same meals as me, except he had orange juice and coffee. Lunch and Dinner was carrot juice, a potato, veggies, flax seed oil, and Pau d'Arco tea. Pau d'Arco served with every meal and encouraged to drink throughout the day. This tea is native to South America, where it has been used to treat a wide range of conditions, including pain, arthritis, inflammation of the prostate gland, fever, ulcers, and various cancers.
Each patient was given a schedule of carrot and green juices, up to 13 a day. The juices are individually designed based on the patient's needs and with my surgery, my digestive system is very sensitive, as I found out with my first green juice, so I have to hold off on green juices for a bit.
Our room was big and right next to the pool. There are two beds, two desk areas, a double vanity, a cute patio, a sofa for the emenas in the bathroom, and a large shower.
I spoke with Dr. Cervantes, and he put me on my protocol with lots of daily juices, coffee enemas, three meals, and lots of supplements throughout the day.
My enemas are made with organic coffee, organic chamomile tea, aloe vera, and distilled water for my sensitive colon since I'm recovering from surgery. Eventually I will be on a full coffee enema. The primary function of a coffee enema is to remove toxins and waste from the body. Caffeine increases enzymatic activity in the intestine and liver, helping to flush out toxins thereby giving the body the nutrients to heal while also lowering inflammation, restoring bowel function and increasing energy levels.
This is my life for the next two years.
•Vegan Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner
•Pau d'Arco tea thought the day
