I Don't Need This Double Chin, But Thank You

As I'm about to turn 50, I'm finding things like my Double Chin that was not here last year. Everyone knows that I'm not opposed to plastic surgery but I'm on a boat, living the life. I want to try to do this naturally. But, if it doesn't work, I'll have to get a little Nip/Tuck.

But come on, what the hell is this?



I'm laughing as I write this because it's so gross. Nobody likes a double chin but is a common condition that occurs when a layer of fat forms below our chin. A double chin is often associated with weight gain, but I'm not fat and I have one. Of course genetics and looser skin from aging will cause a double chin. Great! Terrific! Now how can I get rid of this uninvited guest and look cute again, thank you very much? I did some research and found there are several exercises that will help me return back to my cute, adorable self with less of a blob under my chin. First I have to warm up my muscles I am instructed to move my lower jaw forward and backward and then side to side. This should be performed slowly and smoothly and should be repeated 8-10 times. Still laughing!


The Scoop The next exercise will be the 'The Scoop'. I open my mouth, and roll my bottom lip over my lower teeth. I move myhead down in a scooping motion, and close my mouth while lifting my head. I am told to make sure that the corners of my lips are completely relaxed and to repeat this 5-7 times. This is so funny but I call feel the muscles getting tighter.


Touch The Nose A double chin can be reduced by strethening the hyoid muscles. I stick out my tongue as far as possible, and try to reach nose nose with the tip of my tongue. I keep my lips relaxed and repeat 5 times. I have a tiny tongue but I'm trying. Giggling!


Kiss A Tall Person

I imagine that I am kissing someone who is very tall. I lift my face up and look at the ceiling. I bring my lower jaw forward, and pucker the lips as if I am kissing my tall boyfriend. I hold the position for 5 to 8 seconds and repeat 5 times. I wonder if this is what I look like when I'm kissing. Funny!



Resistance

I make two fists and place them directly under my chin. Then I move my lower jaw down on my fists and strain the muscles and overcome the resistance. I hold for 3 seconds and relax then repeat 5-7 times. I can seriously feel this one working. Whoa!




Oval Face In order to have a younger looking face and pull my cheeks up I will turn my head to the left and pull my lower jaw forward, straining the muscles of my neck. I will feel the muscles on the left of my neck stretching. Then turn to the right repeat. This should be repeated 5 times on each side.


I hope this made you laugh as much as it made me. This was fun making this blog but I sure hope this works because I want to say goodbye to this wattle.
