There are so many ways that everyone can travel often, cheap and have up to 20 vacations a year. You read that right! Check out how I did it and some of the websites that I've used. There are a lot of great ways to save money while traveling.
Long vacation ( Vacation 1)
Plan the vacation durning a holiday week. I always liked Thanksgiving because there are sometimes, two paid holiday days and a weekend on both ends. So I would schedule the vacatuon the Saturday before, be gone the entire week and return the following Sunday. That is a 9 day vacation with only 3 PTO days.
Mini Vacations (12 vacations)
Request one Friday off each month and take a three day weekend to some place new and that's 5 hours away. That's already 12 vacations a year. Leave right after work Thursday, if you can and you're not tired. Arrive by 10 PM, get some rest for a fun filled wekend. Plan the return drive back around 3 PM on Sunday and that will give you enough time to arrive back around 8 PM, do laundry and food prep for the week.
Quickie Vacations (7 vacations)
Pick some place that you've never been that's only 2 hours away and plan a weekend trip.
