Good morning!
Welcome to Day 6 and we are cleaning our Sacral Chakra.
The second chakra is the sacral chakra. The sacral chakra is associated with the psychological and behavioral functions of emotions, relationships, expression of sexuality, sensual pleasure, creativity and fantasies.
Motivated by pleasure, it’s the driving force for the enjoyment of life through the senses.
When we have a clear, strong sacral chakra, we will feel comfortable in our skin. We will enjoy the pleasures of life, but will be open to experiencing more out of life and passion.

If you would like to join me in cleaning my chakras, I would love it!
Today we want to focus on Creative Expression
I remember making art as a little girl at school and at home. I would pick a space on the floor or my Mom's dining room table or my desk at school and I would lose myself as I became engrossed in my task. Immersed in a sea of paints, crayons, construction paper, brown paper bags and popsicle sticks. All of my senses were engaged. Do you remember that? The smell of the crayons, the feel of wet paint or glitter glue on fingers, the sound of coloring or of our own rhythmic breathing as we focused on a task that grounded us to our mission.
The stress of daily life prevents some of us are not as creative because of work, family, stress, etc. Just know that we all have the knowledge inside ourselves about what we need to heal and find happiness. Taking time to be creative helps heal trauma, reduces stress, and creates a happy aura.
1. Make time for Creative Expression! Here are some ideas for us today:
Draw or paint our emotions. We will focus entirely on painting what we're feeling.
Make a journal. Journals don't have to just be based around words. We can make an art journal as well
Photograph things that are beautiful. No one else has to like them but us. Print and frame them to have constant reminders of the beautiful things in life.
Invent something crazy. This invention should do something that can help make us happy.
Draw a comic strip. Let’s focus in on a comical event that really happened.
Build a website. I’ve already done this, but give it a go, express yourself.
.
We still want to use meditation, yoga pose, food and an affirmation because this awakens and strengthens our chakra. We need all the help that we can get.
2. Meditation:
Here’s an app for Insight Timer Meditation
Here is the YouTube video for Binaural beats to use with earphones.
Meditate for as long as you would like and it's even better if you are out in nature feeling the grass and trees around to ground you.
Close your eyes and feel the earth beneath you. Inhale taking in fresh nourishing energy, exhale releasing all of the things that no longer serve you or help you move forward.
Sit with your shoulders back and your spine straight. Try to relax all your muscles as you close your eyes and breathe deeply. Inhale through the nose, pulling the breath as far down into your body as you can, and exhale through the mouth.
Chant VAM while meditating
Vvvvaaaaaaaaaammmm
3. Food: Orange
A healthy sacral chakra vibrates at the color ORANGE. So think of incorporating carrots, sweet potatoes, peaches, apricots, mangoes, papayas, pumpkin, salmon and mandarins are excellent at restoring an unbalanced sacral chakra.
4. Yoga pose: Goddess pose
It is said that most of the body’s stress gets accumulated at the hips so the Goddess Pose will help with opening of the glutes, flexing of the hips, and contraction of the muscles will help to reduce stress. The longer we hold this pose the faster we de-stress, helping us gain confidence and focus. This pose helps to keep the body in balance while activating the chakras.
If you have any medical concerns, talk with your doctor before practicing yoga.
1. Stand with your feet together and your arms at your sides. Press your weight evenly across the balls and arches of your feet. Breathe steadily and rhythmically. Draw your awareness inward. Focus on the present moment, letting all worries and concerns fade away.
2. Step your feet wide apart, about four feet. Turn your toes out slightly,
3. On an exhalation, bend your knees directly over your toes and lower your hips into a squat.
4. Work toward bringing your thighs parallel to the floor, but do not force yourself into the squat.
5. Extend your arms out to the sides at shoulder-height with your palms facing down. Then, spiral your thumbs up toward the ceiling, so your palms face forward. Bend your elbows and point your fingertips toward the ceiling; your upper arms and forearms should be at a 90-degree angle.
6. Tuck your tailbone in slightly and press your hips forward as you draw your thighs back.
7. Keep your knees in line with your toes. Soften your shoulders. Hold for up to one minute.
5. Affirmation: “I create healthy boundaries.”
When you state an affirmation you are stating a truth. Affirmations are sentences aimed to affect the conscious and the subconscious mind. The words composing the affirmation, automatically and involuntarily, bring up related mental images into the mind, which could inspire, energize and motivate.
Repeat all day long and if you look in the mirror while stating this, even better!
