Good morning!
Welcome to Day 12 of our Chakras cleanse.
A healthy solar plexus chakra controls our identity and allows us to know ourselves so we can live with confidence and strength. With a balanced solar plexus chakra, we will be able to set boundaries and be assertive without being aggressive. It allows us to judge ourselves and others fairly but not critically. We will feel confident and not struggle with self-doubt or aggressive egotism, but instead, feel comfortable in our own skin and trust in our abilities. We’ll come to understand that we have the power of choice.
Our Solar Plexus Chakra is out of balance if we have low self-esteem,
Have difficulty maintaining self-control, have depression, anxiety, or feel insecure and unassertive.
Each of us have 7 Chakras and when balanced they work together to create an optimal life. If you would like to know more, here’s the info on the Daily Guide and What Are CHAKRAS.

Today we want to focus on getting some Vitamin D.
The color of the solar plexus is yellow and it shines brightly like the sun when it's balanced. Our bodies need Vitamin D from the sun to stay healthy. The sun's ultraviolet B or UVB rays hit cholesterol in the skin cells, providing the energy for vitamin D synthesis to occur. The solar plexus chakra is represented by the element of fire, the sun is an immensely healing source of vitality. For most light colored people, a half-hour in the sun can initiate the release of 50,000 IU or 1.25 mg vitamin D into the circulation within 24 hours of exposure. That's me and that's a lot so I have to use sunscreen for sure. This same amount of exposure yields 20,000–30,000 IU in tanned individuals and 8,000–10,000 IU in dark-skinned people.
1. Soak up the sunshine
Take a simple 30 minute morning walk in the sunshine, or even relaxe in the afternoon sun is wonderful for the solar plexus chakra.
We still want to use meditation, yoga pose, food and an affirmation because this awakens and strengthens our chakra. We need all the help that we can get.
2. Meditation:
Here’s an app for Insight Timer Meditation
Here is the YouTube video for Binaural beats to use with earphones.
Meditate for as long as you would like and it's even better if you are out in nature feeling the grass and trees around to ground you.
Close your eyes and feel the earth beneath you. Inhale taking in fresh nourishing energy, exhale releasing all of the things that no longer serve you or help you move forward.
Sit with your shoulders back and your spine straight. Try to relax all your muscles as you close your eyes and breathe deeply. Inhale through the nose, pulling the breath as far down into your body as you can, and exhale through the mouth.
Chant RAM while meditating
Rrrraaaaaaaaaammmm
3. Food: Yellow and Carbohydrates
A healthy Solar Plexus chakra vibrates at the color YELLOW. Incorporate whole grains like: oats, spelt, rice, rye, bananas, corn, pineapple, yellow squash, chamomile and lemons.
4. Yoga pose: Warrior lll Pose
This dynamic standing posture creates stability throughout your entire body by integrating all of the muscles throughout your core, arms, and legs. Warrior III strengthens the whole back side of the body, including the shoulders, hamstrings, calves, ankles, and back. It also tones and strengthens the abdominal muscles. Warrior III improves balance, posture, and full-body coordination. This pose also enhances your ability to concentrate, keeping your mind calmly focused when faced with difficulty.
If you have any medical concerns, talk with your doctor before practicing yoga.
Begin with your feet hip-distance apart and your arms at your sides. Breathe smoothly and calmly, bringing your awareness to the present moment.
Turn to the left and step your feet wide apart, about 4 to 5 feet.
Turn your right foot out 90 degrees so your toes point to the top of the mat.
Pivot your left foot inward at a 45-degree angle.
Point your pelvis and torso in the same direction as your right toes are pointing.
Bend your right knee over your right ankle so your shin is perpendicular to the floor.
Raise your arms overhead with your palms facing each other.
Press your weight into your right foot.
Lift your left leg as you lower your torso, bringing your body parallel to the ground.
Your arms, still extended, will now reach forward.
Flex your left foot and reach out through your heel.
Straighten your standing leg as you continue to lift the left leg, but do not lock your knees.
Work toward bringing your arms, torso, hips, and raised leg parallel to the floor.
Hold the pose for 30 seconds.
To release, exhale as you softly lower your left foot back to the floor. Lower your arms repeat the pose for the same amount of time on the opposite side.
5. Affirmation: “I have the power to decide.”
When you state an affirmation you are stating a truth. Affirmations are sentences aimed to affect the conscious and the subconscious mind. The words composing the affirmation, automatically and involuntarily, bring up related mental images into the mind, which could inspire, energize and motivate.
Repeat all day long and if you look in the mirror while stating this, even better!
