Mike and I found the beautiful Cap Sante Park overlook in Anacortes. Cap Sante is French for Cape Health. It was named by Anne Curtis Bowman, whose maiden name inspired the name "Anacortes."
It's an easy drive to the viewpoint, but there are a number of short hiking trails in the area that are also easily accessible.
In addition to sweeping views of the local marina, we also saw Fidalgo Bay, the Cascade Mountains, and the city of Anacortes.
Anacortes is a wildlife refuge, so we saw some adorable deer on the way to the park. So sweet!
