Hi, I'm Jacqui and I'm with Mike and his family in the mountains of Chiriquí for Christmas.
When we come up to visit, we always make a trip to Boquete.
Boquete (boh-KEH-theh) is nestled in the highlands of western Panama, in the fertile province of Chiriquí (chee-ree-KEE). Boquete has around 23,000 people and of those, 20% are expats looking for a simpler lifestyle. Quaint hostels, boutique hotels, local and international cuisine make this such a fun mountain town
Boquete offers cooler, breezier temperatures ideal for growing some of Panama's finest coffee. Daytime temperatures are generally in the 70s F or low 80s F, with nights typically above 60 F. The spring-like weather makes Boquete the ideal place for its active, outdoorsy population. The dry season lasts from mid-December to mid-April, and the rainy season lasts from mid-April to mid-December.
