Benefits of Yoga

I really enjoy exercising, not particularly because of the act of exercising, but because the way it makes me look and feel.

At this point, I'm just trying to drop my extra weight, tone up, and feel great! Exercising and toning keeps my mind and body feeling and looking younger and amazing!

We've been road trippin up the mountains in Colorado and there are no Planet Fitness to get my workout in, so I have to find as new way to exercise. I found a beautiful option on the catamaran that worked great, so I know I will find what works for me, while we're camping in the mountains.

I really enjoy doing yoga. Wow! It just strengthens my muscles and makes me feel so good! What gorgeous scenery as a backdrop to my yoga session!

Regardless of the level of yoga expertise, practicing regularly, will have anyone feeling better from head to toe. Here are some of the reasons that I love yoga. 1. Yoga improves strength, balance and flexibility. Slow movements and deep breathing increase blood flow and warm up muscles, while holding a pose can build strength. 2. Yoga stretching helps ease pain and improving mobility with my lower back pain. Physicians recommends yoga as a first-line treatment for chronic low back pain. 3. Yoga has been shown to ease some of the discomfort of tender, swollen joints. 4. Yoga practice may reduce levels of stress and body-wide inflammation, contributing to healthier hearts. Several of the factors contributing to heart disease, including high blood pressure and excess weight, can also be addressed through yoga. 5. Yoga may increase mental and physical energy, a boost in alertness and enthusiasm, and fewer negative feelings after getting into a routine of practicing yoga.
