I love visiting Panama City because it's a great city.
Downtown Panama City is the cosmopolitan capital in Panama and the largest is Central America. It is a vibrant metropolis and gateway to tropical escapes. We always have a blast when visiting downtown.
Panamá la Vieja or Old Panama is the cobblestoned historic city that offers colonial-era landmarks like the neoclassical Palacio Presidencial and bougainvillea-filled plazas lined with cafes and bars.
Hard Rock Hotel Panama Megapolis is a fun resort in the heart of Panama City with great dance clubs and gorgeous views.
Trump Tower is right on the water and is 70 stories. We've been several times and we were able to walk out on the ledge on the top floor to look of the city. That is no longer allowed but I'm so glad we got to do it. What an experience.
Amador Causeway is located at the southern entrance of the Panama Canal and stretches into the Pacific Ocean. The causeway has been refurbished over the years and it's so beautiful and great views of the downtown skyline. The causeway offers hotels, restaurants, and biking and marinas.
Panama Canal Zone was an unincorporated territory of the United States from 1903 to 1979, centered on the Panama Canal and surrounded by the Republic of Panama. Once the US got control of the Canal Construction from France, the U.S. focused its attention on building offices, hospitals, housing quarters, police and fire departments, courts, and a post office. The Canal Zone would come to be dominated by American culture, customs and laws.
The Panama Canal is a 48 mile-long international waterway that allows ships to pass between the Atlantic Ocean and Pacific Ocean, saving about 8000 miles from a journey around the southern tip of South America.
Plaza of ethnic groups and religions is a beautiful park with statues and plaques representing different cultures from around the world.
