Diamond Head State Park
Oahu's most recognized landmark is known for its historic hiking trail, stunning coastal views, and military history. This broad, saucer-shaped crater was formed about 300,000 years ago during a single, explosive eruption. The 0.8 mile hike from trailhead to the summit is steep and strenuous, gaining 560 feet as it ascends from the crater floor.

Luau
A traditional luau is a must do in Hawaii. There's usually a buffet with poi, Kalua pig, poke, salmon, and maitai's. There's also Hawaiian music, hula dancers and fire dancers. I checked one off the bucket list and learned how to hula dance.
Outrigger Canoe
Catching a wave on an outrigger canoe is a great way to experience part of the Hawaiian culture. I rode the waves with my boyfriend in Waikiki Beach with Faith Surfing School and it was so much fun.
Sunset Cruise
A sunset, dinner cruise to see a stunning Hawaiian Sunset along Oahu's West Shore is amazing. I sailed with my boyfriends on Joy Ocean Cruises near the Wai'anae coastline and had a traditional Hawaiian buffet and an open bar.
East Shore
Oahu's East Shore, also called the Windward Coast is less well known than Oahu's North Shore but it features some of the island's most beautiful beaches and gorgeous shoreline.
Mermaid Caves
Mermaid Caves, or tunnels as it's often called is located at Oahu's Nanakuli Beach Park. There are jagged lava rocks and an open holes that open into a breathtaking underwater cave. It's a magical experience.
Pearl Harbor Memorial Site
Pearl Harbor Memorial Site or USS Arizona is where World War II began for the United States on December 7, 1941. It's a beautiful park with a great deal of history about exactly what happened at Pearl Harbor.
Halona Beach Cove
Halona Beach Cove is a small cove tucked into a lava rock shoreline and has a small sandy beach that is that the romantic kiss from in movie “From Here To Eternity” was filmed.
Mount Tantalus
Mount Tantalus has a lookout point at the top of the mountain that has a cool sunset view over the city. You can also see Diamond Head, beautiful mountains, and downtown Honolulu.
Waikiki Beach
Waikiki Beach is one of the the most famous and recognized beaches in the world.
Chinaman's Hat
Mokolii, commonly known as Chinaman's Hat got it's name because the little cone-shaped lump of lava has a resemblance to the straw hats that the Chinese immigrants wore.
Valley of the Temples
The Valley of the Temples is a beautiful park where Buddhist, Shinto, Protestant and Catholic residents of Hawaii are buried in this memorial park.
