Good morning!
Welcome to Day 8 and our final day for cleaning our Sacral Chakra. Tomorrow we will start on our Solar Plexus.
The second chakra is the sacral chakra. The sacral chakra is associated with the psychological and behavioral functions of emotions, relationships, expression of sexuality, sensual pleasure, creativity and fantasies.
Motivated by pleasure, it’s the driving force for the enjoyment of life through the senses.
When we have a clear, strong sacral chakra, we will feel comfortable in our skin. We will enjoy the pleasures of life, but will be open to experiencing more out of life and passion.

Today we want to focus on Sexuality
Whatever your sexual preference, whether you are married, single, or it’s complicated, if you live in America, then your sexual energy is probably blocked.
In some areas of the world, women go topless on the beaches. In America, just a picture of a scantily clothed woman can make some people squirm with discomfort. Did you know Greece, Brazil, and Italy are the most sexually satisfied countries in the world. When I see people from these countries I see people that are so passionate, proud of their bodies and in touch with their feelings which is the sacral chakra. All the themes of the sacral chakra are interconnected with emotions, creativity, sensuality, sexuality.
Our sacral chakra starts developing around our 8th birthday and it becomes active when we reach puberty. During this time our imagination develops, our body prepares itself for pro-creating and we develop body awareness.
Sexual energy in women is rooted in the sacral chakra, where the reproductive system is located, and this makes sex for women more emotional, while for men it’s rooted in the root chakra making sex more primal. Within all 7 chakras, no other two chakras are as closely located to each other as the Root and the Sacral Chakra and both control our sexuality but Sacral influences our desire and sensuality.
When we exude sexual energy, it’s an expression of our sacral chakra energy. If our sexual energy is too low or too high, then the Sacral Chakra will be out of balance which will affect our creativity, emotions, relationships, and pleasure.
1. Unblock Sexual Energy
What beliefs were you taught as a child about sexuality? Write it down and really evaluate the response. Do you still believe it and is this what you want?
What prejudices were you taught as a child about sexuality? Write it down and really evaluate the response. Do you still believe it and is this what you want?
Explore different creative forms of sexuality. If you have a partner, discover what fetishes or sexual positions you’d both like to try out together. If you’re single, explore different creative forms of self-pleasure. If blockages such as guilt or shame arise, question them.
We still want to use meditation, yoga pose, food and an affirmation because this awakens and strengthens our chakra. We need all the help that we can get.
2. Meditation:
Here’s an app for Insight Timer Meditation
Here is the YouTube video for Binaural beats to use with earphones.
Meditate for as long as you would like and it's even better if you are out in nature feeling the grass and trees around to ground you.
Close your eyes and feel the earth beneath you. Inhale taking in fresh nourishing energy, exhale releasing all of the things that no longer serve you or help you move forward.
Sit with your shoulders back and your spine straight. Try to relax all your muscles as you close your eyes and breathe deeply. Inhale through the nose, pulling the breath as far down into your body as you can, and exhale through the mouth.
Chant VAM while meditating
Vvvvaaaaaaaaaammmm
3. Food: Orange
A healthy sacral chakra vibrates at the color ORANGE. So think of incorporating carrots, sweet potatoes, peaches, apricots, mangoes, papayas, pumpkin, salmon and mandarins are excellent at restoring an unbalanced sacral chakra.
4. Yoga pose: Butterfly Pose
Butterfly pose is a wonderful grounding posture. It is a graceful and gentle pose that focuses on stretching the fronts of your thighs, opening up the hips, lengthening the spine and improving digestion.
If you have any medical concerns, talk with your doctor before practicing yoga.
Start the pose by sitting on the floor. Legs, back straight, and hands on the ground.
With an exhalation, bend the knees and bring the heels close to the pelvic region.
Drop the knees out towards the floor and touch the soles of the feet together. Do not push beyond your limit. This is a relaxation pose.
Clasp the hands around the ankles, shins, or toes.
Stay in this pose for a minute or two.
5. Affirmation: “I embrace my inner passion”
When you state an affirmation you are stating a truth. Affirmations are sentences aimed to affect the conscious and the subconscious mind. The words composing the affirmation, automatically and involuntarily, bring up related mental images into the mind, which could inspire, energize and motivate.
Repeat all day long and if you look in the mirror while stating this, even better!
