Day 5 Sacral Chakra Cleanse

Good morning!


Welcome to Day 5 and we are starting the Sacral Chakra Cleanse.


The second chakra is the sacral chakra. The sacral chakra is associated with the psychological and behavioral functions of emotions, relationships, expression of sexuality, sensual pleasure, creativity and fantasies.


Motivated by pleasure, it’s the driving force for the enjoyment of life through the senses.


When we have a clear, strong sacral chakra, we will feel comfortable in our skin. We will enjoy the pleasures of life, but will be open to experiencing more out of life and passion.

Today we want to focus on Emotional Catharsis


1. Emotional catharsis

We want to open our energy channels by purging our emotions through catharsis. We are going to jump, scream, laugh, cry, or other physical forms of catharsis that release built up emotions. A traumatic experience or a string of unfortunate events can cause a feeling of turmoil that builds and builds. Eventually, we get to the point where we feel like there's so much emotion bottled up that we're about to explode. When that happens, emotional catharsis can be extremely helpful.

Scream - Youtube has videos to make you scream and jump, but I can’t do it. You go for it but I’m going to stay with laughing and crying.


We still want to use meditation, yoga pose, food and an affirmation because this awakens and strengthens our chakra. We need all the help that we can get.


2. Meditation:

Meditate for as long as you would like and it's even better if you are out in nature feeling the grass and trees around to ground you.


Close your eyes and feel the earth beneath you. Inhale taking in fresh nourishing energy, exhale releasing all of the things that no longer serve you or help you move forward.


Sit with your shoulders back and your spine straight. Try to relax all your muscles as you close your eyes and breathe deeply. Inhale through the nose, pulling the breath as far down into your body as you can, and exhale through the mouth.


Chant VAM while meditating

3. Food: Orange

A healthy sacral chakra vibrates at the color ORANGE. So think of incorporating carrots, sweet potatoes, orange peppers, peaches, apricots, mangoes, papayas, pumpkin, salmon and mandarins are excellent at restoring an unbalanced sacral chakra.


4. Yoga pose: Cobra pose



If you have any medical concerns, talk with your doctor before practicing yoga.

Cobra Pose is best known for its ability to increase the flexibility of the spine. It helps to open the lungs, which is therapeutic for asthma. This pose also stimulates the abdominal organs, improving digestion. Cobra Pose deeply opens the heart for stress reduction and anxiety relief.


The Low Cobra variation of the pose is suitable for beginners and those with less spinal flexibility. Those who are very stiff can benefit from practicing Cobra while standing, with their hands placed against a wall.


  1. Begin by lying face-down on the floor with your legs extended behind you, spread a few inches apart.

  2. Place your hands under your shoulders with your fingers pointing toward the top of the mat. Hug your elbows in to the sides of your body. Or standing position against the wall.

  3. Inhale as you gently lift your head and chest off the floor.

  4. Draw your shoulders back and your heart forward, but do not crunch your neck. Keep your shoulders dropped away from your ears.

  5. Beginners and those with neck pain should keep their gaze toward the floor. Those with more flexibility can bring their gaze to the sky. allow the lift to come as a natural extension of your spine.


5. Affirmation: “I allow myself to feel my emotions.”



When you state an affirmation you are stating a truth. Affirmations are sentences aimed to affect the conscious and the subconscious mind. The words composing the affirmation, automatically and involuntarily, bring up related mental images into the mind, which could inspire, energize and motivate.


Repeat all day long and if you look in the mirror while stating this, even better!
