Day 21 of Chakra Cleanse

Good morning!

Welcome to Day 21 of our Chakra Cleanse.

Today we are starting on our Third Eye Chakra.

The third eye chakra is the sixth chakra is the center of intuition and foresight. The function of the third eye chakra is driven by the principle of openness and imagination. Once the third eye chakra is in harmony with the rest of the chakras, it is said that a doorway towards spiritual enlightenment is opened.

Sustaining awareness of Third Eye Chakra energy requires focus and the ability to relax into a different way of seeing the world. When we focus our mind and consciousness, we can see beyond the distractions and illusions that stand before us and we will have more insight to live more deeply and become aligned with our highest good.

When we have balance Third Eye Chakra, we are calm, self-aware, and possess foresight. We are not controlled or limited by the mind. We will be more insightful and understanding of ourselves, other people, and life in general. We will also find it easier to be objective and life will take on a more vibrant quality which will help us to be more creative.

An unbalanced Third Eye Chakra we find that we become overly logical, overly emotional or absorbed by the details and struggle to see the “bigger picture”.

Each of us have 7 Chakras and when balanced they work together to create an optimal life. If you would like to know more, here’s the info on the Daily Guide and What Are CHAKRAS.

If you would like to join me in cleaning my chakras, I would love it!

Yesterday's exercises -

Drinking Pure Water, check! Luckily, we filter water from the ocean then put it through a filter so it’s nice and pure. Yummy!

Blue food, check! I incorporated blueberries into my meals.

Meditation, check! I meditated to binaural beats.

Yoga - Legs up to the wall, check! This is a winner!

Affirmation, check! I repeated “ I am safe to express myself truthfully.”

I am feeling super great so let’s go!

Today we are going to focus on cleaning our pineal gland.

A tiny pea-sized, pine cone shaped, gland resides in the centre of our brains and holds the secrets to spiritual wisdom, creativity, inspiration and psychic awareness. The ancient people around the world knew about the pineal gland and how powerful it is.

Under the microscope, the pineal is made up of cells that have the same features as the rod-shaped light sensitive cells found in our retinas. The pineal gland receives signals that travel down the optic nerves and it gives a perception of the world around us through our senses. It controls the action of light upon our body and is located beneath the cerebral cortex where the two hemispheres of the brain join. This is the place where the brain regulates consciousness and interprets the body’s sensory and motor functions.

It is an endocrine gland sitting alone in the brain, level with our eyes. The pineal gland produces melatonin and regulates our daily and seasonal circadian rhythms. Melatonin is the chemical in charge of our sleep cycles and the quality of our sleep, and it also regulates the onset of puberty. Melatonin is responsible for fighting against free radicals. A decline in melatonin triggers the ageing process in the body. Serotonin, the neurotransmitter or happy chemical responsible for our mood, is transformed into melatonin only in the pineal gland.

The pineal gland is an important psychophysiological centre and is the source of clairvoyance and intuition. It has also been described as “the principal seat of the soul,” and the portal to the higher dimensions as it provides perception beyond ordinary sight. Interestingly, the pineal gland has been linked to the production of the psychedelic DMT or Dimethyltryptamine.

In 1972, Julius Axelrod, a biochemist and Nobel Prize winner, discovered that the human pineal gland produces DMT which is a hallucinogenic substance. In 1990, Dr. Rick Strassman, Professor of Psychiatry at the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, found that the pineal gland forms DMT under certain conditions, and in 2013 researchers first reported DMT in the pineal gland of rodents. While the function of DMT within the human brain is unknown, it is one of the most powerful psychedelic drugs, which happens to occur naturally in animals, plants, and the human brain. It is believed that DMT is released during near death experiences and meditation, so this may explain the enhanced spiritual connection, higher awareness and awakening that takes place. The pineal and third eye enables us to open up to have visions, clairvoyance and other psychic gifts. It is vital to our spiritual growth and consciousness to keep our pineal gland clear and free of toxic substances. As we become more toxic and the pineal gland calcifies further, we lose our spiritual connection to higher energies.

A chemical that are harmful to the pineal gland is fluoride that is found in tap water, processed foods and sodas. Likewise, foods laden with pesticides, preservatives and chemicals causes the pineal gland to become sluggish and lose its vitality and power.

Once we clean our pineal gland we will start seeing that the world we live is full of control and inequalities, and out of harmony with the rest of the universe. We will feel a desire to be free and live in a world full of love, compassion and truth. We will feel the connection to all that is around us in nature and feel a deeper connection with the universe. We will be able to read instinctual signals easily, where it becomes almost like an additional sense or a sixth sense. We will find that our dreams are more vivid and lucid which means that we will feel that we are in control of our dreams and are able to realise our true infinite self and the endless possibilities that exist in the dream state and our world that we live in. We will know that we have infinite possibilities and we are masters of our own universe.

1. Clean the pineal gland

Detoxify the pineal gland by eliminating processed foods. Start including pure water, chlorella, spirulina, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, and wheatgrass in our diet. Many grocery stores have ready made drinks in the produce department that include these. Make sure it’s organic. Eat spinach, broccoli, avocados, prunes, raisins, almonds, hazelnuts, dates, garlic, oregano, and hemp seeds. The pineal gland is activated by light and color so here is a Youtube video to activate the pineal gland.

We still want to use meditation, yoga pose, food and an affirmation because this awakens and strengthens our chakra. We need all the help that we can get.

2. Meditation:

Here’s an app for Insight Timer Meditation

Here is the YouTube video for Binaural beats to use with earphones.

Meditate for as long as you would like and it's even better if you are out in nature feeling the grass and trees around to ground you.

Close your eyes and feel the earth beneath you. Inhale taking in fresh nourishing energy, exhale releasing all of the things that no longer serve you or help you move forward.

Sit with your shoulders back and your spine straight. Try to relax all your muscles as you close your eyes and breathe deeply. Inhale through the nose, pulling the breath as far down into your body as you can, and exhale through the mouth.

Chant AUM while meditating

Aaaaauuummmm

Focus a purple, warm healing, light coming from the middle of our forehead.

3. Food: Purple

For a healthy Third Eye Chakra eat prunes, dates, blackberries, figs, raisins, eggplant, purple cabbage, purple kale, purple carrots, and purple potatoes.

4. Yoga pose: Wide Leg Forward Bend Pose

The semi-inverted nature of the pose helps the heart to get into a resting position. On a daily basis, the heart has to pump extra blood in order to supply oxygen and energy to our brain. Inverted poses bring the head underneath the heart and this makes it easier for the heart to get a rest from the challenges of the gravitational pull and the brain receives extra blood. The brain cells are activated. Stress and anxiety are reduced almost immediately and brain fog is diminished.

If you have any medical concerns, talk with your doctor before practicing yoga.

Step the legs 3-4 feet apart.

  1. Exhale forward bringing the palms to the floor under the shoulders. Or place hands on knees if needed.

  2. If able to, place the forehead down towards the floor.

  3. Press into the feet, lengthening the legs to press the hips up toward the ceiling.

  4. Breathe and hold for 3-4 breaths.

  5. To release, reach the arms out to the sides and inhale back up straight.

5. Affirmation: “I trust my intuition.”

When you state an affirmation you are stating a truth. Affirmations are sentences aimed to affect the conscious and the subconscious mind. The words composing the affirmation, automatically and involuntarily, bring up related mental images into the mind, which could inspire, energize and motivate.

Repeat all day long and if you look in the mirror while stating this, even better!
