Day 16 Chakras Cleanse

Good morning!

Welcome to Day 16 of our Chakras cleanse.

Today will be the last day working on our Heart Chakra. We are halfway through our chakra cleanse and we will begin our Throat Chakra tomorrow.

The heart chakra colors our life with compassion, love, and beauty. Driven by the principles of transformation and integration, the fourth energy center is said to bridge earthly and spiritual aspirations. The heart chakra is the center of love, balance, and connection. This chakra is responsible for regulating the energy associated with self-acceptance, self-love, compassion, openness, and unconditional love of others.

When the heart chakra is balanced, we feel being deeply connected with the appreciation of beauty. We feel open and receptive, courageous enough to open our heart to others. We realize that we can only truly learn how to love others when we love ourselves.

An imbalance heart chakra will create difficulties relating with others, jealousy, codependency, or being closed down, and withdrawn.

Each of us have 7 Chakras and when balanced they work together to create an optimal life. If you would like to know more, here’s the info on the Daily Guide and What Are CHAKRAS.

If you would like to join me in cleaning my chakras, I would love it!

Yesterday's exercises -

Self Love, check! I put myself first and forgave myself for being human.

Green food, check! I incorporated spinach and cucumber into my salads.

Meditation, check! I meditated to binaural beats.

Yoga - Reclined Cobbler Pose, check! This felt incredible!

Affirmation, check! I repeated “ I love myself unconditionally.”

I have to tell you that I am feeling so good. I’m feeling balanced, in control and much less scared. I’m ready to do this, so let’s get to it.

Today we are going to focus on hugging.

Don’t you love a great bear hug from someone you love? I do, it’s the best feeling. But then again, I’m a hugger. I love that human connection. We hug others when we’re excited, happy, sad, or trying to comfort. Hugging, it seems, is universally comforting. It makes us feel good and it make us healthier and happier.

1. Hug More

If you see a friend or family member dealing with something unpleasant today, give them a hug. Studies show that giving another person a hug can reduce stress, pain, fears and even blood pressure of the person being receiving a hug and the person doing the comforting. It’s a double winner.

“We need four hugs a day for survival. We need 8 hugs a day for maintenance. We need 12 hugs a day for growth.” Virginia Satir.

So, how many hugs should we have each day? According to science, we should have as many as possible if we want to reap the greatest benefits. So let’s start hugging, as many hugs today as we can. I'm on a boat with my boyfriend so I guess I'll be hugging him all day. Yay!

We still want to use meditation, yoga pose, food and an affirmation because this awakens and strengthens our chakra. We need all the help that we can get.

2. Meditation:

Here’s an app for Insight Timer Meditation

Here is the YouTube video for Binaural beats to use with earphones.

Meditate for as long as you would like and it's even better if you are out in nature feeling the grass and trees around to ground you.

Close your eyes and feel the earth beneath you. Inhale taking in fresh nourishing energy, exhale releasing all of the things that no longer serve you or help you move forward.

Sit with your shoulders back and your spine straight. Try to relax all your muscles as you close your eyes and breathe deeply. Inhale through the nose, pulling the breath as far down into your body as you can, and exhale through the mouth.

Chant YAM while meditating

Yyyyaaaaaaaaaammmm

Focus a green, warm healing, light coming from our chest.

3. Food: Green

For a healthy heart chakra eat spinach, kale, green apples, pears, chard, lettuce, broccoli, peas, avocados, cabbage, peppers, zucchini, grapes, and celery.

4. Yoga pose: Forward Facing Dog Pose

Upward facing dog stimulates this energy channel of the the heart chakra. This position will enhance our urge to spread joy to others. This position is a chest opener that will help Counteract many of the forward positions we we find ourselves during the day such driving or sitting at a desk.

If you have any medical concerns, talk with your doctor before practicing yoga.

  1. We will begin by laying face down on the mat

  2. We stretch our legs straight back with tops of the feet on the floor

  3. Place our palms on the mat near the bottom of our rib cage, fingers facing forward and spread wide.

  4. Root down through the palms and inhale as we straighten the arms.

  5. Lift the chest, pubic bone and thighs away from the floor. The weight of the body rests in the palms and tops of the feet.

  6. As you continue to press through the palms the arms as elbows stay in towards side body.

  7. The chest is lifting as if a beam of light is coming from our heart to the sky.

  8. Keep gaze forward or towards the sky.

5. Affirmation: “I am worthy of love.”

When you state an affirmation you are stating a truth. Affirmations are sentences aimed to affect the conscious and the subconscious mind. The words composing the affirmation, automatically and involuntarily, bring up related mental images into the mind, which could inspire, energize and motivate.

Repeat all day long and if you look in the mirror while stating this, even better!
