Day 14 Chakras Cleanse

Good morning!

Welcome to Day 14 of our Chakras cleanse.

Today we’re working on our Heart Chakra.

The heart chakra colors our life with compassion, love, and beauty. Driven by the principles of transformation and integration, the fourth energy center is said to bridge earthly and spiritual aspirations. The heart chakra is the center of love, balance, and connection. This chakra is responsible for regulating the energy associated with self-acceptance, self-love, compassion, openness, and unconditional love of others.

When the heart chakra is balanced, we feel being deeply connected with the appreciation of beauty. We feel open and receptive, courageous enough to open our heart to others. We realize that we can only truly learn how to love others when we love ourselves.

An imbalance heart chakra will create difficulties relating with others, jealousy, codependency, or being closed down, and withdrawn.

Each of us have 7 Chakras and when balanced they work together to create an optimal life. If you would like to know more, here’s the info on the Daily Guide and What Are CHAKRAS.

If you would like to join me in cleaning my chakras, I would love it!

Yesterday's exercises -

Forgiveness, check! It shifted my energy to positive thoughts.

Green food, check! I incorporated spinach and cucumber into my salads.

Meditation, check! I meditated to binaural beats.

Yoga - Cat Cow Pose, check! This felt so good!

Affirmation, check! I repeated “ I am open.”

I am feeling so good and it’s a good day, so let's do this.

Today we are going to focus on practicing empathy.

Empathy is the most important skill you can practice. It will lead to greater success personally and professionally and will allow you to become happier the more you practice. Empathy means the ability to understand and share the feelings and experiences of another. In other words, empathy is imagining yourself in someone else’s skin: feeling what they feel and seeing yourself and the world from their point of view. In order to practice empathy, without saying anything, when you come upon someone, imagine a situation that they may be going through. We’re all going through something.

Example:

If someone is a little quick and rude, ask yourself “What if this person just got news that a loved one has cancer, was in a car accident, died, etc. and they trying their best to keep their emotions in check, but it’s just not working”. How would you feel in one of those situations. Rather that being rude back, just smile and be nice. I’ve been in this situation, where I just got news that my Aunt died and I was in the middle of a meeting. Trying to contain myself, I came across as cold and hasty. I finally had a moment to excuse myself to regain my composure, buy we all don’t have that opportunity. So just be aware when someone is coming across as rude or mean, they may be dealing with some terrible issues that we have no idea about. The least we can do is to not make it worse by retaliating with an ugly attitude.

1. Practice empathy

Everything that someone does or says to you today practice “What if”.

We still want to use meditation, yoga pose, food and an affirmation because this awakens and strengthens our chakra. We need all the help that we can get.

2. Meditation:

Here’s an app for Insight Timer Meditation

Here is the YouTube video for Binaural beats to use with earphones.

Meditate for as long as you would like and it's even better if you are out in nature feeling the grass and trees around to ground you.

Close your eyes and feel the earth beneath you. Inhale taking in fresh nourishing energy, exhale releasing all of the things that no longer serve you or help you move forward.

Sit with your shoulders back and your spine straight. Try to relax all your muscles as you close your eyes and breathe deeply. Inhale through the nose, pulling the breath as far down into your body as you can, and exhale through the mouth.

Chant YAM while meditating

Yyyyaaaaaaaaaammmm

3. Food: Green

For a healthy heart chakra eat spinach, kale, green apples, pears, chard, lettuce, broccoli, peas, avocados, cabbage, peppers, zucchini, grapes, and celery.

4. Yoga pose: Camel Pose

The camel pose is known as the “heart opening” yoga pose and it stimulates and balances the fourth chakra, located at the heart center. The heart chakra is often closed off and because we are in self preservation mode and protecting our heart. The result is slouching, a lowered chin, and poor posture. Practicing the camel pose can sometimes stir up emotions more than any other pose. It is important to keep a calm awareness of our feelings when practicing this pose. Fear of our emotions can create stiffness in the body and may lead to injury. So stay calm and open.

If you have any medical concerns, talk with your doctor before practicing yoga.

  1. We begin by kneeling upright with our knees hip-distance apart. Rotate the thighs inward and press the shins and the tops of our feet into the floor. Do not squeeze the buttocks.

  2. We will place our hands on the lower back or hip bones, with our fingers pointing to the floor.

  3. Lean back, with our chin slightly tucked toward your chest. Stay here, keeping hands on the lower back. Stay in position for up to a minute.

5. Affirmation: “I embrace who I am.”

When you state an affirmation you are stating a truth. Affirmations are sentences aimed to affect the conscious and the subconscious mind. The words composing the affirmation, automatically and involuntarily, bring up related mental images into the mind, which could inspire, energize and motivate.

Repeat all day long and if you look in the mirror while stating this, even better!
