Day 13 Heart Chakra

Good morning!

Welcome to Day 13 of our Chakras cleanse.

Today we’re starting on our Heart Chakra.

The heart chakra colors our life with compassion, love, and beauty. Driven by the principles of transformation and integration, the fourth energy center is said to bridge earthly and spiritual aspirations. The heart chakra is the center of love, balance, and connection. This chakra is responsible for regulating the energy associated with self-acceptance, self-love, compassion, openness, and unconditional love of others.

When the heart chakra is balanced, we feel being deeply connected with the appreciation of beauty. We feel open and receptive, courageous enough to open our heart to others. We realize that we can only truly learn how to love others when we love ourselves.

An imbalance heart chakra will create difficulties relating with others, jealousy, codependency, or being closed down, and withdrawn.

Each of us have 7 Chakras and when balanced they work together to create an optimal life. If you would like to know more, here’s the info on the Daily Guide and What Are CHAKRAS.

If you would like to join me in cleaning my chakras, I would love it!

Yesterday's exercises -

Soak up the sun, check! It was a beautiful day outside and I got Vitamin D

Orange food, check! I incorporated bananas and pineapple.

Meditation, check! I meditated to binaural beats.

Yoga - Warrior lll Pose, check! This was a little difficult but I held onto a wall.

Affirmation, check! I repeated “ I have the power to decide.”

I am feeling amazing, so let’s go.

Today we are going to focus on forgiveness.

Forgiving others is essential for our spiritual growth. Our experience of someone who has hurt or offended us, while painful, is now nothing more that a thought or feeling that we carry around. These thoughts of resentment, anger, and hatred represent slow, debilitating energies that will disable our chakras if we continue to let these thoughts occupy our mind. Let’s release them so we can move forward.

1. Forgiveness

  • Everyone we meet has a role to play in our lives, there are no accidents in the universe. Some people in our life are villains and others are heros. However, every one of them are necessary for us to learn and grow. Evaluate each one of them all and let’s see what we learned from them.

  • Let’s take a moment to shift our mental energy and allow ourselves to be with whatever we’re feeling. Let the experience that hurt us just to be, without blaming others or ourselves for our feelings. Just allow the experience to unfold as we realize that no one has the power to make us feel anything without our consent, and we are no longer going to give that power away.

  • Our feelings are not bad, wrong or unjust, they are just feelings. Let’s just take a moment to understand ourselves and why we are having these feelings. No blame just looking into ourselves. Come to a point where we can confidently say, “I may not understand why I feel this way, why I’ve been hurt, or why I this happened, but I’m willing to say without any guilt or resentment that I own it. I live with these feelings and I am responsible for having these feelings.”

  • Now that we’ve taken responsibility for our own feelings, we can remove the hurt and learn from it. Look around at the world and all of the good and bad people. They are doing what they’re supposed to be doing. This is the reality we live in. If we’re always upset about all of the bad people and issues in the world, then we are contributing to the pollution of negative emotions. The world needs the opposite.

  • Going forward, when we are wronged or hear something that offends us, we are just going to depersonalize it and respond with kindness. We are free to send the energies of love, peace, joy, forgiveness, and kindness as a response to whatever comes our way.

We still want to use meditation, yoga pose, food and an affirmation because this awakens and strengthens our chakra. We need all the help that we can get.

2. Meditation:

Here’s an app for Insight Timer Meditation

Here is the YouTube video for Binaural beats to use with earphones.

Meditate for as long as you would like and it's even better if you are out in nature feeling the grass and trees around to ground you.

Close your eyes and feel the earth beneath you. Inhale taking in fresh nourishing energy, exhale releasing all of the things that no longer serve you or help you move forward.

Sit with your shoulders back and your spine straight. Try to relax all your muscles as you close your eyes and breathe deeply. Inhale through the nose, pulling the breath as far down into your body as you can, and exhale through the mouth.

Chant YAM while meditating

Yyyyaaaaaaaaaammmm

3. Food: Green

For a healthy heart chakra eat spinach, kale, green apples, pears, chard, lettuce, broccoli, peas, avocados, cabbage, peppers, zucchini, grapes, and celery.

4. Yoga pose: Cow-Cat Pose

Cat Stretch may look “easy,” it is a powerful pose for the mind. Used with the Cow Tilt it becomes breath synchronized movement that increases coordination, fosters intentional focus, and invigorates prana or the vital life force in the body. It’s also associated with increased emotional balance and stability of the mind.

If you have any medical concerns, talk with your doctor before practicing yoga.

  1. In a tabletop position, with shoulders over the wrists and hips over the knees, start to place weight evenly through the hands and legs.

  2. Starting with a neutral spine for Cow Tilt, start to inhale expanding the belly toward the floor, lift the gaze toward the third eye, send energy forward through the sternum and the tailbone as they tilt toward the sky.

  3. For Cat Stretch, start to exhale the belly button toward the spine and continue that lift toward the heart, scoop the tailbone, allow the chin to rest on the chest.

  4. Complete as many rounds as you would like, potentially adding intentional movement and activation of the spine by noticing if your head, chest, belly, and/or tailbone tend to initiate your flow.

5. Affirmation: “I am open.”

When you state an affirmation you are stating a truth. Affirmations are sentences aimed to affect the conscious and the subconscious mind. The words composing the affirmation, automatically and involuntarily, bring up related mental images into the mind, which could inspire, energize and motivate.

Repeat all day long and if you look in the mirror while stating this, even better!
